Short story: Sammie looked up at the angry sky as she tracked with Jarle, the Toko her brother set her out to prove she really wanted to work with him. she liked Jarle, he was soft and kind, kinda shy here and there, but she liked him, and was glad not only did her brother trust him with her but the owner did as well. this was his last rite and she wanted to prove herself along with Jarle. Jarle stiffened as a sent hit his nose the human that traveled with him wasnt his true handler but she was fair and kind, so he felt he could trust her. Jarle looked around at the darkening landscape he smelled moose, he just couldnt see him. Sammie got down and took the bridle off of Jarle, and took out her bow, following Jarle closely. soon Jarle charged at an unseen foe, Sammie heard the snorts the growls and the stuggle as the two battled. "how long is going to go on?" she said clutching her bow, forcing her eyes to stay alert in case Jarle needed her. the sounds stopped and she began to walk towards Jarle. she looked at the massive moose he had brought down, laying in the snow, almost asleep looking, but awkward enough to know it wasnt. the snow began to fall around them as Sammie knealed down, thanking her ancestors. Jarle looked at her then looked up to the sky and let out the howl dean had told her about. Jarle howled to the forest and the other prey animals to anything that would hear his voice. "a great moose has fallen, honor him." from miles away wolves and tokotas howled in response.
